Pretty nice pub and services is generally good. Food is always great although lacks a little in diversity maybe? Pricier than other places but worth it if you feel like spoiling yourself or a special occasion.

The White Cross

About The White Cross

The White Cross is situated in a refurbished cotton mill warehouse which was part of the old Storey’s Cotton Mill that was built next to Lancaster’s main canal.

An original stone white cross was found just two hundred meters away, near where the current bridge on South Road crosses the canal. You can see it on the earliest map of Lancaster by Speed in 1611. Visitors stopped and gave thanks having arrived safely from their journeys across Lancashire. They most likely stopped for refreshment and food for sustenance before going about their business in the city.
